Watching your child struggle at home or inside the classroom can be difficult for parents to face. We understand the difficulty, and we want to help you and your child unlock their full potential. The Brain Balance Achievement Center of Lexington helps children overcome their academic, behavioral, and social issues without the use of drugs or medication. The Brain Balance Program has helped children throughout the country overcome their challenges through an integrated approach that considers the whole-child. Our program helps to uncover the root cause of your children’s challenges and combines the use of academic activities, sensory motor training, nutrition plans, and at-home activities to help them lead a more successful academic and personal life.

Your child’s journey with Brain Balance starts with taking a personalized assessment. The Brain Balance Achievement Center of Lexington will use what we learn from their assessment results to put together your child’s personalized plan. By doing this for each child, we create a customized program that addresses any difficulties your child may have.

How The Brain Balance Program Works With Asperger’s Syndrome

Asperger syndrome (now considered a part of ASD) is often classified as high-functioning autism and is a pervasive developmental disorder on the autism spectrum. Children with Asperger’s tend to have average to above-average IQs and well-developed vocabularies, while still struggling with many social and sensory issues, such as reading social cues and not understanding subtleties. One of the major differences between Asperger syndrome and other spectrum disorders as recognized by the Autism Society, is there is no speech delay with Asperger’s. Children with Asperger Syndrome may:

  • Have trouble understanding other people’s feelings or talking about their own feelings.
  • Avoid eye contact
  • Have narrow, sometimes obsessive, interests
  • Have a hard time understanding body language
  • Be clumsy or awkward
  • Speak in unusual ways or with an odd tone of voice
  • Have unusual sensory reactions

In order to help children with Asperger syndrome overcome their social, behavioral or academic challenges, the Brain Balance Program combines sensory motor with academic activities to improve right-brain connectivity. To help children with Asperger’s syndrome and high-functioning autism, our program focuses on finding the root cause of the issue. Through our drug-free, integrated approach to helping children with Asperger syndrome, we are able to identify the areas of the brain where we find the greatest need for improvement in order to help children with their developmental functions. How has The Brain Balance Program helped other children overcome their struggles? Read through our stories from Brain Balance parents to learn more about our program and the impact it has had on the lives of others. *It is important to speak directly with your Doctor concerning the presence or confirmation of any diagnosis of a spectrum disorder.
