We Help Kids Who Struggle With Dyslexia

Helping Children With Dyslexia Through The Brain Balance Program

The Brain Balance Program

The Brain Balance Achievement Center of Plainview is dedicated to helping children in the Plainview area meet their social, behavioral, and academic goals. When children are enrolled in The Brain Balance Program, they are first given a personalized assessment. This assessment helps us to identify each child’s unique challenges and develop a personalized plan that will help the child overcome those struggles.

Included in each child’s individualized plan are academic activities, sensory motor training, and dietary guidelines. We believe that these activities are valuable in developing an integrated, whole-child approach to dyslexia and other learning disabilities.

Child Dyslexia and The Brain Balance Program

As a learning disorder that causes children to have difficulty reading, Dyslexia can show itself in different ways and can involve a number of reading challenges. Characterized by difficulty recognizing letters, learning letter sounds, and identifying rhyming words, dyslexia in children is often identified when a child reaches kindergarten. Poor fine motor skills, trouble learning the alphabet, numbers, days of the week and learning to talk later than most children are early signs of dyslexia in kids.

The Brain Balance Achievement Center of Plainview has developed a dyslexia program that can help your child overcome their learning obstacles. Even though dyslexia is a lifelong learning disability, approaches to help overcome challenges for dyslexia can improve reading, spelling and writing skills and can allow children to function better in an academic setting. When your child is enrolled in The Brain Balance Program, we create a personalized plan for your child that is geared toward dyslexia which includes 3 in-center visits per week in addition to at-home activities. These activities will help your child reach their learning, social, and behavioral goals. Brain Balance’s dyslexia specific program has helped thousands of children across the country with several of those kids being from the Plainview area.
