We Help Kids Who Struggle With ADHD

Brain Balance Achievement Center of Henderson Helps Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a disorder that causes children to struggle with paying attention, being extremely active, and acting impulsively. ADHD can affect children behaviorally and academically because students struggle with daily activities, such as sitting still, focusing on instruction, staying organized, and waiting their turn. The best child ADHD program addresses the child’s specific type of ADHD through a natural, whole-child approach.

The right side of the brain regulates social behavior, impulsivity, and attention, so ADHD is caused by decreased right brain activity. For children with ADHD, decreased right brain activity causes inappropriate social behaviors, impulsive actions, and lack of attention.

ADHD emerges in 3 different types: hyperactive-impulsive type, inattentive type, and combined type. With hyperactive-impulsive category, children struggle with the constant need to be active and with the tendency to act without thinking while children who fall under the inattentive type struggle to focus on tasks and activities. Children who are classified as combined type struggle with inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity.

How Can Brain Balance Achievement Center of Henderson Help?

When children are enrolled in our program at Brain Balance Achievement Center of Henderson, we provide them with a personal assessment. The assessment allows us to determine the best way to address their needs. Then, we implement our integrated approach to tackling ADHD. This program includes sensory motor training, academic activities, nutrition plans, and at-home exercises. Through the ADHD program, our goal is to bring parents and children together to help the child succeed. We believe that the best way to tackle ADHD is through natural remedies that focus on addressing the disorder rather than just eliminating the symptoms; so Brain Balance Achievement Center of Henderson’s ADHD program is a drug-free approach.
