Dyslexia can cause children to have trouble reading, recognizing letters, learning letter sounds, and identifying rhyming words. These children often have trouble learning to spell and write once they are in school. The learning disorder Dyspraxia is characterized by having a difficulty in carrying out routine tasks involving balance, fine-motor control, and kinesthetic coordination. Dyscalculia often causes children to have problems understanding learning fundamentals including basic numerical skills. Dysgraphia affects a child’s fine-motor skills and is characterized by distorted and incorrect handwriting.
